Background Information - It’s Nut Free
It’s Nut Free was formed in 2002 by Angela Russell, whose daughter Kirsty was diagnosed with a serious allergy to nuts when she was two years old. It is the only company in the UK specialising in manufacturing nut free products for those with a nut allergy and its range includes traditionally made flapjacks, cereal, cakes, biscuits and confectionery.
Only the finest quality ingredients are used, and suppliers are put through a rigorous and ongoing auditing process. Staff undertake an intensive induction programme to ensure the security and nut free status of the purpose built production site in Northallerton, North Yorkshire.
It’s Nut Free products are retailed through Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco supermarkets as well as a number of health food stores and independent retailers, schools and hospitals and through the company’s online shop at www.itsnutfree.com.
